Welcome to ResumeAI ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our developer services.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined here, please do not use the application.

2. Data Stored Locally (On-Device)

ResumeAI is designed to give you maximum ownership over your personal credentials and professional history. All resume inputs, profile information, work histories, skills lists, education profiles, and generated cover letters are saved exclusively on your local device.

We do not maintain centralized cloud storage for your resume details, nor do we run background tasks to harvest your information. Deleting the application will wipe all locally cached resumes unless you have exported them as PDFs.

3. Information Sent to Third-Party AI Engine

To provide advanced AI resume suggestions and custom cover letter generation, the App communicates directly with Google's official Gemini API services.

• Direct client requests: Queries containing your input credentials and job targets are sent directly from the client application to Google's generative language servers.
• No intermediate proxies: We do not route your prompts or resumes through proprietary servers where they could be logged, stored, or analyzed.
• Google's use of data transmitted through their Gemini API endpoints is governed by the Google Gemini API Terms of Service.

4. Advertising and SDK Partners

To support development and offer a free service tier, we integrate third-party advertisement and tracking tools:

• Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display non-banner advertisements (including App Open, Interstitial, and Rewarded ads). AdMob utilizes advertising IDs and device identifiers to personalize ads and analyze traffic. For more information, please review the Google Privacy & Terms.
• Firebase Services: We run Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics inside the App to monitor runtime exceptions, app usage patterns, and to ensure overall stability. These services record non-identifiable technical properties of your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal details, we immediately wipe it from local memory. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

6. Data Security

We implement strict secure-coding practices to ensure that your on-device database remains protected from adjacent applications. However, since the information is stored locally, your data security is heavily dependent on the security configurations of your mobile device. We advise keeping your device password-protected and your OS up to date.
